SCIE

Admissions of international students (Foreign Nationals (FN), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI)) are centralized for all the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and are routed through the Symbiosis Center for International Education (SCIE).
Candidates aspiring to join the postgraduate programme of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to fill an online registration form.

CATEGORY

  • Foreign National (FN):
    • A Foreign National shall mean citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under the expression PIO/OCI. Such Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply as Foreign Nationals.

    Provided that any subsequent changes in the definition as may be notified by the Govt. of India shall have the same latest meaning respectively assigned to them. The other expressions not defined herein shall have the meaning as may be assigned any subsequent notification of Govt. of India.

  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO):
    • A student is eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if he/she has a PIO card, and is a citizen of a country other than India.

  • Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI):
    • A student is eligible to apply as an Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) if he/she has a OCI card, and is a citizen of a country other than India
Note: English Proficiency Test (IELTS (conducted by British Council) or IELA (conducted by Symbiosis)) is mandatory for the Foreign Nationals (FN), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO) students. International English Language Assessment (IELA) Test is conducted online by the English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis (ELTIS).

  • Non Resident Indian (NRI):
    • A student is eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if he/she is an Indian National and has appeared for the 12th examination (equivalent to the Indian 12th) or Graduation outside India. It is mandatory for one of the two qualifying examinations to be given outside India.

ELIGIBILITY

Prospective candidate should be a graduate from any recognised / statutory University or Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade.

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non-fulfilment of the above stated criteria.

Programmes which require specific discipline / subject specialisation need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.

Only candidates who have the requisite qualification from foreign universities or Boards of Higher Education accredited and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Govt. of India, New Delhi are eligible to apply at Symbiosis institutes for admission.

If required, candidates will be asked to obtain the ‘eligibility certificate/equivalency certificate’ from the Equivalence branch, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi

Important: It is the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether she/he possesses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

PREREQUISITE

Be ready with a soft copy of following mandatory documents:
  • Recent passport size photo (not more than three months old) in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif formats, with size between 10 KB to 100 KB to be uploaded to your application form.
  • 10+2 Mark sheet, Bachelor Mark sheet, Passport in .jpg, .jpeg, .doc or .pdf formats, with size between 10 KB to 1024 KB to be uploaded to your application form.

    REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'I Agree' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.

  • Fill in Mini Registration Form. Click on the "Register Now" button.
    		•
     
  • Fill in the personal details & educational details. You need to upload required documents and make a payment of application fee to complete the registration process.

  • You can access your email to get the SCIE ID and password for future correspondence. Check 'Spam Mail' in case it is not showing in 'Inbox'.

  • Candidates can use online or offline payment options to pay the application fee (non-refundable).

    FILLING UP OF INFORMATION IN THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AND CHANGE IN THE INFORMATION

    • A candidate is required to fill in the correct information in the online registration form which corresponds to her/his credentials.
    • Please note that if any information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the University shall have the rights to cancel the candidature of that candidate.

    PAYMENT INFORMATION

    At the time of application student has to pay below mention fees:

    1. Application Fee : (Non Refundable)

      Foreign National (FN): US Dollars 65
      Non Resident Indian (NRI): US Dollars 120
      Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): US Dollars 120
      Person of Indian Origin (PIO): US Dollars 120

    2. International English Language Assessment (IELA) Examination (if applicable) (Non Refundable):
            US Dollars 50
    • Administrative Fee: (Non Refundable)
    Applicants have to pay the administrative fee after receiving an offer letter. This is a one time admission fee to be paid at the time of admission. The administrative fee is non-refundable.
    • Modes of payment:
    Online Payment: Applicants can make the payment by using a Credit / Debit Card (Visa/Master)
    Offline Payment: Applicants can make the payment by using SWIFT/NEFT/RTGS details. He/she can view the SWIFT/ NEFT/RTGS details in the payment window of the online registration portal.

    Note:
    • It is mandatory for all the Applicants to make all the payments in US Dollars.
    • The applicant must upload the SWIFT/NEFT/RTGS transaction copy and fill the transaction details in the payment window of the online registration portal. While processing the payment mention your SCIE ID and student's name in the transaction reference.
    • Foreign National students (except Nepal) can pay the 'Application Fee' along with the administrative fee after the receipt of 'Offer Letter'.

    UNDERTAKING

    1. I have checked the eligibility criteria for the programme, which I am desirous to pursue before registration. SIU/SCIE/Institute will not be responsible, if I apply for a programme(s) for which I am not eligible.

    2. This form is an integral part of the admission process. I have provided correct information. I am aware that admission granted based on incorrect information will be cancelled.

    3. I agree that admissions decisions are not solely dependent on choices provided by me in the application form. All decisions made by the Admission committee are final considering the eligibility and selection criteria.

    4. I am aware that if I register and fulfil the basic eligibility criteria it does not guarantee my admission for any of the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

    5. I am aware Application, IELA and Administrative Fees are non-refundable. In case of any cancellation of admission, a candidate has to agree to the refund policies laid by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

    6. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will not be responsible for any fluctuations in the exchange rate and actual currency rate will be applicable for all transaction. The candidate has to bear all other applicable charges or card payment charges.

    7. It is mandatory for all the students to make all the transactions in USD currency.

    8. In all matters regarding admission to the program, the decision of SCIE will be final and binding. No correspondence from the applicant with respect to his/her non-selection will be entertained.

    9. Note Foreign Nationals (FN) candidates if granted admission will not be considered under scholarship scheme and has to continue as fee-paying candidates / fee waiver offered if any during admission

    10. I am aware that, No capitation or donation is charged in any constituent institute of Symbiosis International University.

    11. I know that any dispute will be settled by arbitration, subject to the jurisdiction of Pune.

    12. I am aware that fees will not be refunded in case admission is cancelled on the grounds of providing false/incorrect information.

    13. I will ensure that I will submit my final marksheets on or before 31 st August
