Declaration
  1. I will attend lectures of selected courses, attend and participate in seminars / workshops / guest-lectures/ visits etc. organized by the Symbiosis International University (SIU)/Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE)/Institute.
  2. Academic programs will be conducted in English only. All tests will also be administered in English and the students will not be allowed to use dictionaries for the examination.
  3. My admission in the host institution may be cancelled if I fail to maintain minimum academic standards and a minimum of 75% attendance as defined by my host Institution, or am found to be in violation of the laws or regulations of my host country or Institution. I understand that such terminations carry the same financial obligations as withdrawals.
  4. If I withdraw from the program any time after the commencement of the course, I will provide SCIE a written statement and I may still be obligated to pay full program fee if applicable unless decided otherwise by the SIU authorities.
  5. Smoking, Consumption of Alcohol and Drugs on or off the campus are strictly prohibited and non-compliance attracts strict action.
  6. Usage of mobile phone is not permitted within the classrooms, laboratory, and library.
  7. I understand that my appearance at all-time should be in conformity with the culture and traditions of India.
  8. I shall not bring in or store any firearms, ammunition, explosives, and inflammable goods at any Symbiosis campus or at the Symbiosis Guest House.
  9. I understand that eatables and drinks are not permitted in classrooms, computer lab, A/V studio, and library & office area.
  10. I shall follow the deadlines and all other rules prescribed by the Institute with reference to the campus hostel.
  11. I shall not indulge in any anti-social activity as well as will not cause or involve in any sort of violence or disturbance both within and outside the institute/residential campus or during outbound visits organised by SIU/SCIE.
  12. I or my guardians shall not hold Symbiosis International University or any of its constituent Institutes responsible for any kind of mishap, accident or any other untoward incident during my stay in Symbiosis.
  13. The Symbiosis Hostels have strict rules about late - coming beyond Hostel Hours or Night Outs /leaving Pune for personal reasons for security reasons. I will therefore notify the Head of Institute, SCIE, Mentor faculty and Campus Administrators regarding any night outs by filling and taking the necessary signatures on the Form.
  14. SIU (SCIE)organises many cultural events for international students, I will try and participate in Food festival, Flag hoisting, dance competition , this will give me an opportunity to culturally assimilate into the Symbiosis culture.
    I understand that the above mentioned will be applicable by participating in the Student Exchange programme.
  15. I will communicate with mentor faculty/SCIE in case of any academic, administrative or any other related matters such as need extra academic sessions, timetable, fee payment etc.
  16. I will complete all the assignments given by the faculty of the Institute, in case of non-compliance, the institute will not issue grade sheet/transcript/completion certificate.
  17. I will pay tuition fees, examination fees and any other dues within the stipulated time as required by the SCIE/Institute authorities failing which I will not be permitted to attend the classes.
  18. During outbound visits. I will conduct myself in a highly disciplined and decent manner and follow the instructions given by SCIE staff, failing to which suitable action may be taken against me as per the rules and regulations of SIU.
  19. I will not involve in any form of ragging inside or outside the campus. I am fully aware that bringing mobile phone to the campus and involving in Ragging is an offence and punishable a punishable crime.
  20. I will compulsorily follow the dress code/uniform prescribed by the institute.
